Not Getting Married Today

Sam and Cassie: Cassie and Sam have a sweet moment together at Grey House just enjoying being together.

When Sam´s sister comes to visit Sam, Cassie, both kids and her go to have dinner and catch up. Joan sees how happy his brother is and is really happy that he found Cassie. When they arrive home and after Cassie leaves, Joan tells Sam that she really likes her and that they are both really happy and Sam agrees. Joan asks Sam if this means he would like to be married again eventually but Sam says no.

Joan accidentally tells this to Cassie and she gets sad. Cassie asks Sam why and he tells her that he isn't good at it and that he had a very bad experience before her. Cassie understands it but she says to Sam that it changes things for them. They both realize they don't know where to go from there.

Cassie goes to Chicago to visit an old friend who tells her to stop worrying so much about the future and enjoy the now. Sam goes to visit her in Chicago after a talk with his sister where she tells him that if she had ever met anyone like Cassie, who is perfect for him, she would have gotten married for sure.

This makes Sam realize how truly perfect they are together and that because his last marriage didn't work doesn't mean anything. He can see them together forever so he decides to propose to her.

Cassie tells him that they don't have to, that they just have to enjoy the today but Sam tells her she can't imagine a life without her so she of course says yes.

- Martha and her son: his son is back to introduce Martha to her fiance. Martha is surprised he has a job and a girlfriend due to the last time she saw him he was kind of lost. They both explain they want a simple wedding and Martha helps them prepare it but then Vanessa´s mother appears and gets too excited... At the end they get the wedding that they want and Martha´s son thanks her for always supporting him. LESSON: respect your kids opinions and wants, always support them - Vanessa and her mother: she gets too excited about the wedding and starts doing what she wants, not what Vannesa and Michael want to the point where they cancel the wedding. But then Cassie guides them to an old bridge in town when they talk and she respects their decision to have a simple wedding. LESSON: always listen to your kids and respect their opinion - Abigail and Grey House little guest: a little kid whose parents died in an accident and that has been adopted by a new couple arrives at Grey House. At first the kid doesn't want anything to be with the couple but Abigail shows her that she can have a family without forgetting her previous one and that the new couple just want to help her. They all leave as a happy family and the kid gives the couple a chance. LESSON: give people a chance, you can have more than one family without letting go your other one - Cassie and Grey House couple: she tells them to be patient with the little kid because of everything she is going through. She explains something similar happened to her and at the end she was thankful for the people that took care of her. LESSON: be patient with the ones you love
