The Chocolates

Sam and Cassie: Cassie is doing some chocolate muffins in the kitchen when Sam comes downstairs, he gives her a "good morning" kiss. Cassie jokes about him handling the chocolate exhibition and Sam at her doing it in the snow. Then Cassie suggests Sam to give some chocolates to the new chief administrator and to take some to Stephanie since he is going to The Bistro before work. Sam smiles at how good she knows him and then leaves. When Sam is having some problems with his new chief administrator Cassie tells him to give him some time to adjust to his job and to be patient. - Grey House Guest: "the chocolate king" comes to stay at Grey House for Abigail's flower shop chocolate exhibition. He is a young man who has inherited a chocolate factory from his dad who has passed away. Cassie knew his dad and feels how the young man is hiding something. He needs something new for his business but doesn't know what to do so he stills one of Cassie´s chocolate recipes. Later he realizes that what he has done is not right and returns the recipe to her apologizing. At the end, he confesses to Cassie that he thinks his dad wouldn't approve of what he has done with the business and Cassie tells him that it is not too late to change directions. The young man thanks her and understands why his father loves going to Grey House so much. LESSONS: always try to do your best and never steal from others, it is better to fail for our own than to succeed using others, be honest to yourself and those around you. - Abigail and Donovan: they keep trying to break the curse this time separated but Abigail can´t stay away and goes to where Donovan is, this ends badly since a big rock almost fell on her and they decided to go separate for real now. At the end Donovan goes to tell Abigail what he has found. LESSONS: is always better to do things together than alone - Joy and her business partner: Joy and her college friend/business partner Dona ended badly and Joy is sure that lie to her and one of her clients. When Dona appears at Grey House telling Joy to sign some papers to dissolve their company Cassie sees they haven't solved their problem. Joy comes to the kitchen and sees a recipe for "Truth Chocolates" and she wants to give it to Dona so she admits the truth. But Cassie reminds her that sometimes "the easy way is not always the right way"; and to give Dona some time so she does it for herself. Joy gets impacients and it's about to give Dona the chocolates... but then remembers what Cassie told her and doesn't do it. At the end, Dona admits she lied and apologizes to Joy, so Joy forgives her and tells her to stay in Middleton and help her with Martha´s house, since Carter had to go away. LESSONS: don´t rush things and give others some time to admit their mistakes for themselves

- Adam and Stephanie: After his surgery Adam feels like he needs to do more with his life and talks in his church to join a mission to help others. But this means he is going away for some time. He asks Stephanie to go with him but she says she can´t since she has his life and business in Middleton but that she supports him in going. LESSONS: always support your partner dreams - Sam and Grant: the hospital has a new chief administrator who is determined to do things his own way. Sam tries to make him see that some of his plans won´t work but Grant tells Sam to step away from him and his ideas. LESSONS: always listen to what other have to say - Sam, Donovan and Adam: when Sam and Adam see how Donovan is having a hard time with his break-up with Abigail they tell him to join in a men's night out to go bowling. At first Donovan doesn't want to go but Sam and Adam don´t leave him much choice and he ends up having a good time and discovering another clue for the curse. Sam goes with Donovan to see if the clue is what they think before telling Abigail and Donovan desperately asks Sam what would he do if this would happen to him and Cassie. Sam smiles and tells Donovan that he would do exactly what he is doing and to keep trying a little more. Donovan smiles and then they go home. LESSONS: always be there for your friends - Martha and George: George bowling club is a member down and he is looking for someone to play with them in the competition the next night. Cassie tells him that Martha plays but Martha gets too stressed playing and says no. George talks to her and reminds her that she has to stop focusing so much on winning and just have fun, so at the end Martha accepts playing with them. LESSONS: remember to always have fun - Abigail and his old friend from college: Abigail is having a hard time after her break-up with Donovan and when an old friend of hers from college appears she starts hanging out with him to distract herself. They guy had some feelings for her in college and now he has broken up with her girlfriend too. Cassie reminds Abigail that what she is doing is not right, giving him false hope and at the end Abigail is honest with her friend, who understands it and smiles. LESSONS: be honest with your friends and those around you As you can see, all are examples of real life situations.
