Sam and Cassie: they are close to their first anniversary and Sam is determined to do something romantic for Cassie this Halloween. Sam plans a romantic picnic on the lake and takes Cassie there with her eyes closed. When they arrive Cassie smiles telling him how beautiful everything is that season of the year and they get inside the boat. But as soon as they get in the boat, some water begins to enter and they have to come out and postpone the date. But Cassie smiles, thanking him for trying to do such a special plan and they kiss and hug watching the beautiful view of the lake. When Cassie arrives home Sam is waiting for her because they are going out on a date, but Sam tells her that he decided to stay at home and has organized a romantic dinner for two in their dining room. Casie smiles and follows him, when she sees the beautiful table and her favorite food, then she asks him how did she get so lucky and Sam smiles telling her that he asks himself the same question everyday. Sam tells her that since the boat date didn't go as planned he thought about trying to take 2... he gives her a glass of wine and just about when they are about to make a toast Nick arrives interrupting them, they invite him but he says he is tired and that he will catch up in the morning. Then Sam tries the toast again, saying take 3, when a drop of water drops from the ceiling, as Autumn comes saying that a pipe broke. Then the oven starts smoking and Sam runs realizing he forgot about that. Cassie smiles with her always positive attitude telling him there is always take 4, making him smile too. Later they take a walk in the country and run into Stephanie and Adam where Cassie gives them the idea of breaking the pumpkin carving record of Blairsville. Then Sam opens what Abigail gave him that was in his mail and it's a 4 leaf clover, he gives it to Cassie and she says that it has good energy which makes Sam smile and Cassie realizes that he doesn´t believe in that. But when he starts competing in the obstacle race he loses when he doesn't have the 4 leaf clover and wins when he has it, making him believe in it too. At the end, Sam plans another date at night near the lake and tells Cassie that everything that has happened has made him realize that "it is not about being perfect, it's about being perfect together". Cassie smiles telling him that he is one in forever and they share a sweet kiss. LESSONS: enjoy every moment and make the most out of each, always find time to do things with your partner. #SassieBack #Countdown2Sassie

- Abigail and Donovan: now that they are together they want to spend their first Halloween together but Donovan wants them to spend it in Blairsville and Abigail in Middleton. But when Donovan sees that Middleton hasn ́t count the pumpkin it needed to win Blairsville he gives some of the pumpkin to them so they win because he knows how important Halloween is for Abigail. At the end, they go to the other one villege realizing that it is not about the place but enjoying time together, they kiss and hug smiling. LESSONS: what's important is spending time with your loved ones, no where you spend it. - Stephanie and Adam: when Adam is helping Stephanie organize the Bistro, he finds a "breaking record book" and proposes to Stephanie that they break together a record. They start looking, not liking anything until they remember that they are on Halloween! They do a little research and find out that Blairsville stands the record for most carving pumpkins and this year Middleton will break that record down! They go and tell their plan to Martha and she immediately gives them the green light to start preparing everything! LESSONS: always find things to do together - Martha and Tom: their anniversary is on Halloween and Martha is worried because she sees that Tom is distracted and she thinks he has forgotten. But Tom is planning a big surprise with the help of Cassie! At the end, Tom proposes to Martha again and they renovate their vows, leaving Martha totally surprised and apologizing for her thinking that he had forgotten such a special occasion. LESSONS: always try to surprise your loved ones - Autumn: she is Cassie´s roommate from college but she blames Cassie for not getting the job that she wanted. When they were in college Autumn was having trouble sleeping and she was exhausted... She told Cassie she was worried because she had this amazing interview at a great place and Cassie gave her some aromatherapy for her to sleep. She fell asleep the day of the interview and blames Cassie for not going to the interview. She comes to Middleton ready to get revenge, messing with the town festivities and making everything go wrong! When Cassie sees that she works in a nursery and not in the gardens she wanted, she also sees that Autumn blames her for it... Cassie talks to Martha telling her that Autumn will be in charge of designing the landscape, making her realize that she is capable of doing what she wants... Then she makes her realize that it was her own fault to not go to the interview: she was too scared to fail so she did not take the risk.... As Cassie says "what you give power, has power". Autumn starts understanding this and sees what she can do and apologizes to Cassie for blaming her for everything. Cassie smiles and tells her that she is happy that she realized what she is capable of doing and they hug. LESSONS: never blame others for your mistakes, be brave and take the risk, forgett people and don´t be rancorous - Samantha: Sam knows Samantha from the hospital and she is a very sweet old lady with a sad past. When Sam finds a 4 leaf clover in his mail, he starts looking for the person who sent it to him not understanding what it means. With the help of Cassie, he searches through the town not finding anyone responsible for the gift... until he discovers it was sent many years ago, which leaves him more confused since he wasn't even living there by then. But then he finds out that Samantha was engaged to a man who died in the war and whose last name was Radford, which would mean that if they had gotten married as they had planned Samantha would have been Sam Radford. Sam gives the 4 leaf clover to Samantha and she starts crying telling him how she and her fiance find that on their first date and thanking him for getting it back to her and what it means to her. They hug and smile. LESSONS: always be grateful for the moments you had with your loved ones, you never know what little things can mean to others - Friendly competition: Donovan didn't like that Middleton won last year harvest festival competition and challenges Middleton with a new obstacle course one to one with him participating. Middleton chooses Sam to participate and they start competing... but at the end Donovan hurts himself and Sam instead of running to win, goes and picks Donovan up helping him walk to the final, showing everyone that friendship is more important than anything. LESSONS: the most important thing that comes first is friendship and compassion - Nick and George: he is visiting home and he finds out how George is looking for a monster in the lake, telling him that Middleton has its Nessy. When Nick finds out that Geoorge has been looking for the monster for years and no one takes him seriously, he feels bad for his "grandfather", so he takes some pics of the lake and does a little photoshop putting a monster into the lake and telling everyone what George has found. Deep inside George knows that the kid manipulated the photo but that he did that for him means more to George than anything else. LESSONS: what is really meaningful is that you try to make your loved ones smile - Middleton Harvest Festival: when Martha doesn't know what to do this year for the Harvest Festival, Cssie gives her one of her ancestor Elizabeth Merriwick diaries when she found exactly the inspiration she needs. Martha reads about a lovely tradition of setting a bonfire and tossing roses into it as a symbol of harmony and good energy to the town. At first Martha thinks of doing something similar but later Autumn suggests to honor their ancestors, and recreate the event with the same clothes, energy and bonfire and Martha loves the idea. At the end, the whole community reunites after counting the pumpkins, around the bonfire, tossing the roses into the fire and hugging each other while they enjoy the peaceful energy they are feeling in the environment. LESSONS: community, friendship, tradition and honoring your ancestor are the most important things in a festivity.
As you can see, all are examples of real life situations.
