Sam and Cassie: The first scene opens with Sam going to Grey House in the morning looking for a newspaper to see the weather. They talk about one of Sam's friends visiting and about the weather. Hillcrest Hospital keeps calling Sam but he has said no. Sam tells Cassie how some years back he would have taken it for sure but now... he is already short between Nick and his practice and if he tooks the job he would have to focus on it only. Cassie reminds him about balance and shows him "accidentally" a lake house for sale in the newspaper telling him how good memories she has of one she shared with her parents.

Being horseback riding with Cassie reminded Sam how much he likes and misses nature. He couldn't do those things in New York but now he can so he asks her to help her go house hunting for a house in the lake to spend more time with Nick. Cassie tells Sam that "our connection to nature in very primal, is in our DNA" and agrees to go with him. Then Sam tells her how Stephanie already has told most of the people about Martha´s anniversary party.

When Grey House´s guest is about to check out Cassie goes to ask Sam for help about finding out what's going on. Sam tells her he will send him to a friend but Cassie insists that he is the one he needs to see. Then Sam tells her that there are some people that want the lake house but he doesn't want to get into a bidding war. Cassie advises him to see at it from both sides: good and bad. Sam follows her advice and writes a letter that he ends up giving to the owner who loves that he wants to make memories with Nick and gives the house to him.

At the end Sam tells Cassie how he got the job and the lake house thanks to her and how her opinion is really important for him.

LESSONS: nothing is more important than spending time with family, always find time to spend some time in nature, be honest with those around you and they will see it.

- Cassie and Grace: Cassie is a little worried about all the things Grace is doing like school and Sam´s office. She reminds her that grades are important but hanging out with friends is important too. She senses something is off and Grace just tells her that everyone is kind of doing their thing with Lori away, Brandon and Tara into the baby thing... Cassie reminds her that no matter what she is always there for her. When Grace stains her shirt with coffee Cassie gives her a London shirt to change leading her to a London student at her high school that is doing a semester abroad. LESSON: no everything is studying there are other important things in life, your loved ones maybe be a little busy but they always have time for you - Nick and Sam: Nick wants to go to study in London but Sam is not sure he is prepared for it. Nick keeps insisting but Sam is worried that when he is alone he will make bad decisions again. Sam asks Nick to let him read his essay but when Nick starts getting information to write it he likes less the idea of going. LESSON: be honest with your kids about your fears - Grey House Guest: A man that has gone under a medical procedure comes to relax. But after some days he claims to be seeing ghosts at Grey House and everyone thinks he is crazy; Cassie on the other hand thinks that's a sign that something more is going on. She takes him to see Sam and at the end he discovers he has a medical condition. LESSON: always follow your intuition and never take things for granted.

- Martha and Tom: Tom comes into Cassie´s shop and she gives him something to make him feel better. He asks Cassie for a gift anniversary for Martha and she indirectly suggests a "surprise party". Martha is worried that Tom has forgotten about their anniversary because she asks some people and they tell her they haven't heard anything from him. She goes to Cassie´s shop to share her thoughts and Cassie suggests she do something for Tom. But Martha tells Cassie that the romance is the man´s work. Cassie tells her that it is both their anniversary and not just Tom´s responsibility. Martha sees this ad prepares a gift for Tom too which leaves him totally surprised and herself surprised too because of the party. LESSON: Being romantic is the responsibility of both sides of the couple and it is always nice to give your loved one a surprise. - Brandon and Tara: Tara is bored because she doesn't have a job and keeps changing things around the house. Brandon tells her to try to do something and she joins an art group where she meets a very cool couple. She invites them to dinner telling Brandon how perfect the couple seems to be. But at the end Tara discovers they are not so perfect and that their families doesn´t get along very well. LESSON: not everything is what it seems, every couple has troubles but the important thing is to talk about it openly. - Stephanie and Ben: Thanks to Abigail they are back together. Ben asks Stephanie why she likes cathering big events so much after seeing her so excited and she tells her that is because she gets to be a part of everyone's best days: birthdays, weddings, anniversaries... After hearing this Ben offers to help her. LESSON: find something you are passionate about and share it with your loved ones. - Sam´s Hospital offer: he doesn't want to leave Nick or his practice so he asks for a schedule that is flexible so he can still have free time but the hospital doesn't agree. But after seeing how well and fast he treats Cassie´s guest, discovering what's wrong with him, they change their mind and give him the job. LESSON: being honest and caring is more important than anything else.
