The Mandala

Sam and Cassie: Cassie is in the kitchen when Sam arrives and she immediately notices that he is worried about Adam´s surgery so she gives him a hug. Sam smiles telling her how much he "needed that" and Cassie smiles back saying "I know". Then she asks him about Adam and he tells her that Adam and he are doing as best as they can... Sam tells Cassie how it is a difficult surgery and how he doesn't know how it is gonna end. Cassie tells Sam how Adam couldn´t be in better hands and tries to make him relax a little. Then Cassie tells him about her interview and Sam immediately notices how she is nervous, she tells him that she has never taught before and Sam smiles telling her that she hasn´t taught in a classroom but that she is always teaching everyone. Cassie smiles feeling better and tells him how she is gonna remember he said that. They both smile and share a sweet kiss. Later Cassie has finished a "mandala" for the class next day and she is admiring it in the kitchen. Sam arrives looking stressed and is amazed by her work. He asks her how she feels and Cassie answers "at peace". Sam smiles telling her if she can share a little and Cassie smiles, passing her hand through the sand mandala and telling him that "with each swipe let go a little more". Sam tries to stop her telling her that she just finished it but Cassie smiles telling Sam that nothing is permanent. Sam smiles thanking her for making him feel better. LESSON: A perfect relationship is the one where you can count on your partner in the good and the bad moments and to always feel better. - Cassie: with more free time in her hands she decides to use his art history degree and teach in a university, but first she has to find a university to teach in. Abigail tells her that why no Wellingsly but Cassie wants to give Grace her space, so she looks for another one. When a professor at Blairsville University comes into Abigail's flower shop saying that a college that teaches art is leaving for a book tour Abigail gives Cassie the woman´s phone. Cassie goes to the interview and tells the director of the university how she wants to inspire the student to find the light in the darkness moments (what she does for us every single day) and catches the attention of a lot of students in the cafeteria of the university giving them a little lesson right there, but due to her lack of experience the director doesn't give her the job. Then she changes her mind when she sees all the students talking about her lesson in the cafeteria and apologizes to her for giving her "the lack of experience reason" to not hire her, telling her that they want more teachers like her with valuable life experience who can cause an impact in the students. Cassie thanks her for the opportunity, excited about this new chapter in her life. LESSON: no matter what always believe in yourself and be truthful with those around you. Always try to inspire those around you to be better and see life from a different perspective - Abigail and Donovan: they keep trying to break the curse, getting into a trip through a lot of different places in the surrounding of Middleton, following all kinds of clues that leave them nowhere. But at the end of a long day, they think that at least they are doing it together and find an exciting clue. LESSON: always try to see the good even in the worst days - Joy and Carter: they are getting used to working together and starting to be friends. When Carter comes worried about a fancy dinner with his girlfriend, saying he doesn't like fancy at all, Joy helps him, giving him some advice and helping him to choose a good outfit. But when Carter's girlfriend gets really excited about his fancy outfit Carter realizes how different they are and how his girlfriend is trying to change him, so he ends up breaking up with her. At the beginning, Joy feels awful blaming herself for what has happened but Carter tells her that he is actually thankful because they were never right to each other, but he never found the courage to leave her until now. They both work in silence while Joy gives Carter some space to deal with everything that has happened. LESSON: be honest with yourself and try to get away from people who aren't align with you, friends always try to do the best for you and are always there for you - Adam and Stephanie: Adam has been feeling weird for some time and when Sam checks him he finds a worrying situation: Adam has a tumor in his brain and needs surgery. This leaves Adam totally choked and Stephanie too when she finds out. Even if they are worried, Stephanie tells him that she will be there for him no matter what and will give him company since Adam refuses to call his family so they don´t worry. At the end, Adam confesses to her that he is worried and they hug and pray in the hospital chapel for everything to go well. LESSON: sometimes all you need is someone to be there for you Adam and Sam: When Sam sees how worried Adam really is about surgery, he uses Adam´s own trick and takes him for a ride around the hospital gardens. Sam shows Adam that he is there for him and Adam is honest with Sam about his worries. Sam tries to comfort Adam telling him he will do everything he can so the surgery goes perfect and Adams thanks Sam for being there for him. LESSON: friends are the ones who are in the good and the bad times and know sometimes you just need someone to listen to you - Martha and Claire: Martha is worried because his son Dylan is visiting with his wife Claire and will leave Claire with Martha while he goes to do some business in Chicago. Dylan and Claire give Martha and Tom wonderful news, they are expecting their first child!! But this just turns Martha into a "crazy" grandmother and stresses Claire more than she already was. When Martha goes to Bell, Book to talk to Cassie, she tells Martha that sometimes "when we get to know someone,we get to know ourselves even more" and to be patient with Claire and give her a chance trying to get to know her. At the end, Cassie reminds Martha about her mother in law and how she stressed her a lot when Dylan was born and how she is doing the same to Claire now... Martha apologizes to Claire telling her that she will be there when she needs her and Claire thanks her for the space and for all the advice knowing she just did it out of love and care. LESSON: always out yourself in the shoes of other people and be aware of how they may feel, always see that your friends and family are just trying to do the best for you and have good intentions As you can see, all are examples of real life situations.
